Dante
Dante AVIO USB to Secondary Port possible ?
Hello Together!
Beginner question about Dante:
We have seminar room equipment consisting of-
Crestron Digital Media media control-
Sennheiser microphone technology-
Bose DSP and ampsand
would like to
tapinto the
muxed overall audio signal (PC audio + microphone audio) which so far only goes to our room speakers,
for webinar streaming (Webex, Zoom).
Our Bose DSP and amps are connected via the Dante Primary Port.
Can we now simply connect a Dante AVIO USB IO adapter to the Bose DSP Dante Secondary port at the speaker's station to make the desired overall audio signal available to any PC/notebook via USB?
Besides the simple wiring with an Ethernet patch cable, how much "programming" is involved, i.e. routing and configuring via Dante Controller software?
How much time and knowledge does this require? Can it be done by an IT-savvy "layman" who has never worked with Dante controllers, or should it be done by the installer?
Or is the desired audio signal, which connects the Bose DSP and Bose Amp (with connected room speakers) at the Dante Primary Port, automatically available at the Dante Secondary Port, so that the audio signal can be imported via USB to the PC using the Dante AVIO USB IO Adapter without further software configuration?
I would be grateful for an assessment of this from your side.
