Conveniently and easily send messages to your family and friends by voice control. First you need to set up the message function.

To do this, open the Alexa app on your smartphone. Tap on the speech bubble to open "Conversations".

You may need to verify your cell phone number.

Now the messaging function is ready for use and can be activated via voice command or via Alexa App. You can send messages both via Amazon Echo or via Alexa App.

Via Echo it goes like this, say "Send a message" to Alexa.

Then the voice assistant asks to which contact the message should be sent. Here it is important to mention the name of the addressee as stored in the phone book. Now you speak the message. After the recording is complete, Alexa automatically sends the message.
