We have audio control issues, can you help?

We have an AMX NX-2200 which controls our AV (Sound controls, projectors on/off) in a restaurant. We have an iPAD which we then can use to control the audio up and down in different sections of the rooms and switch between audio sources. Over the last few months, we have lost the ability to control any of the audio via the iPAD, the fix we have come up with is to pull the power on the AMX NX-2200 and then after this re-boot it seems to work fine until a few days later and we follow the same process to get control back. Is this a common issue or Does anyone know of a permanent fix that we can try? We do not think it is the iPAD being disconnected from the network as when the iPAD is disconnected we get a pop-up notification on the iPAD screen.

  • Without knowing the exact structure of the system, it is difficult to say what the problem could be. Since a restart seems to solve the problem, the idea would be to install a daily restart in the system, e.g. via switchable sockets or a separate control unit that restarts the devices daily.
  • Firmware update for all devices.
  • Check the system for a faulty cable. A loose contact on a control line can cause a fault.
  • Have devices been added that were not there before? Perhaps 2 devices are in conflict.
