According to Aten, in the data sheet, they are normal normally open contacts. Normally open contacts can theoretically overcome very long distances. As long as no signal is transported on the line, your project should be feasible. Depending on the length of the cable, the LEDs may only glow slightly or not at all. Use high quality cables to connect the devices.
