Added Support For Apple's M1 And macOS 12 Along With Several Fixes
Improvements
What's New:
- Support for Apple Silicon (M1)
- Support for macOS 12 (Monterey)
- The Dante Virtual Soundcard control panel now displays user-specified names for network interfaces
Bug fixes
- SODA-972: The built-in Apple 10GbE network interface was causing a multiple leader clock condition. This has now been fixed by Apple in macOS 12.
- SODA-1303: DVS had issues with enrolling into a DDM
- SODA-1357: The DVS GUI would accept lower case letters in the product key, but the license server would return the product key as invalid
- ETS-3243: Users that use PPPoE, or have created a VPN interface in the macOS Network settings pane, may have been unable to run the DVS Control Panel
- PCS-1611 / PCS-2567: In DDM networks, on domain enroll/un-enroll with 'clear config' ed, some DVS control panel settings (e.g. sample rate, encoding, latency) are not automatically cleared. Workaround: Manually reset the required settings after enrolling/un-enrolling DVS.
- DVS-521 / DVS-595: When enrolled in DDM, domain information in the UI may not be accurate (the DDM IP address may be displayed as N/A, and the DDM hostname may not appear).
- DVS-594: When enrolled in DDM, changing the DDM hostname may cause DVS to present in DDM as 'offline'. Workaround: Clear domain credentials in DVS, 'forget' the device in DDM and restart DVS.
- DVS-542: For computers with multiple network interfaces connected to different Dante networks, DVS may present as a device on multiple networks.
- PCS-2580: After enrolling and un-enrolling DVS from a DDM domain, it may be impossible to change sample rate pull-up/down settings.Workaround: Stop and restart DVS.
- SODA-868: On rare occasions the DVS control panel will lose sync with the DVS service, showing a blank 'Dante Latency' and 'Network Interface', and the Start button will be greyed out. If a Network Interface is ed, the following warning may be presented: "Channel count reduced to 0 due to sample rate". Workaround: Restart the DVS control panel.
- DS-640: If DVS is stopped, or an Ethernet adapter is removed causing DVS to stop, any audio software using DVS at the time may pause record/playback, rather than switching to another sound device and continuing.
- DS-707: On occasions DVS may experience a short burst of noise when the Dante clock domain experiences a large change in time - for example, enrolling or unenrolling in Dante Domain Manager. Workaround: Do not use audio when enrolling devices in or out of a DDM domain.
