ClickShare Configurator Update: New Features and Bug Fixes
New Features:
- More detailed information added on the Peripherals page of the ClickShare Configurator for camera issues.
- Enhanced serviceability for touch screens with new device details section in the Peripherals page.
Enhancements:
- Improved stability for Bose VB-1 by disabling UVC controls and resolving audio issues when attached to front USB ports.
Fixed Bugs:
- Passive pens with touchscreens not working properly on devices like Newline, Sharp, and CVTE.
- Units sometimes failed to start properly after standby, displaying a black screen.
- Annotated content on SHARP PN-L501C visible after exiting annotation.
- Cameras (e.g., Bose VB-1) would disconnect during sharing; a retry mechanism has been introduced.
- Fixed issues where button sharing resulted in a black screen.
Open Issues:
- Users must ensure YouTube is not running before sharing full screen with Airplay to avoid overlay issues (KB11880).
- Sharp touch displays may experience an offset after waking the base unit.
- When two sources are on screen, a reboot may occur while establishing a third connection via Miracast.
Update Instructions:
- To start the ClickShare App automatically when plugging in the Button, install version 1.20 of the ClickShare Windows Driver (see KB12204).
- ClickShare Desktop App v4.17 or higher is required for over-the-air detection of the Base Unit.
- Use a free 5GHz Wi-Fi channel to optimize Wireless Presentation performance; settings can be changed via the ClickShare Configurator.
- v02.10.01 is a minimum version that does not allow downgrading to any version below it post-installation.
