Latest Update Delivers Bug Fixes and New Digital Signage Feature
New Features:
- Digital Signage: Meeting room displays can now serve as a digital signage platform when not in use for conferencing. More details can be found in KB12665.
Enhancements:
- Wi-Fi Configuration: Users can configure the Wi-Fi signal strength of the Base Unit access point. More info can be found in KB4361.
Fixed Bugs:
- Security and Stability: Various security patches and stability improvements have been implemented.
- Screensaver Update: Network info no longer appears on the screensaver when the setting is disabled in the ClickShare Configurator.
Open Issues:
- AirPlay with YouTube: Users must ensure that YouTube is not running before sharing full screen with AirPlay to prevent the message "Connected to AirPlay" overlaying the video. More details in KB11880.
- Saving Sessions: Saving annotations and blackboarding sessions to a USB stick is not functioning properly. Users can connect with the ClickShare Button or App to save on their device, or take snapshots with the ClickShare Mobile App for sharing or later use.
Update Instructions:
- Automatic Start: To start the ClickShare App on the Button automatically when plugged in, install version 1.20 of the ClickShare Windows Driver. More information can be found in KB12204.
- Desktop App Requirement: ClickShare Desktop App v4.17 or higher is required for over-the-air detection of the Base Unit.
- Wi-Fi Optimization: It's highly recommended to use a free 5GHz Wi-Fi channel to optimize wireless presentation performance. Settings can be changed via the ClickShare Configurator.
- Upgrade Note: Upgrading past Version 02.14.00 will prevent downgrading to any version prior to 02.14.00.
