this could be caused by a number of things. Has anything been changed on the laptop, in the form of new anti-virus software or USB monitoring software? Have the USB ports been blocked by adjusting the security standards? Here is a link to the Barco Knowledge-Base, this topic is covered:

In the meantime, as an alternative to the button, you can also work/present with the desktop app:

For in-house use, this is the best option as you no longer have to fiddle with a button.
