CSD: Dante devices updatable through Audinate Dante update online

Improvements

  • Dante .dnt files for BK3 devices no come installed in the Dante folder. Help file updated to instruct when to use BK2 vs. BK3 for manual updates. BK3 devices ship with the updated and proper file pre-installed so this is only something we did for troubleshooting/re-loading firmware.
  • BK2 and BK3 devices now both appear in Hardware Manager as '1280C', in previous 5.12 release BK3 devices showed up as 1280C-1.
  • Dante devices updatable through Audinate Dante update online library.
  • lighttpd web server removed from Dante port of EX devices. This change was done so we no longer fail IT security scans flagged due to out of date lighttpd web server on Dante ports for EX devices instead, we added the Audinate OSS disclosures to C:\\Program Files(x86)\\Bose\\ControlSpace 5.12\\bin\\LICESNSE.txt
  • For PSX amplifiers in project view, we Adjusted HPF hardware settings guide to always be gray (no default reccomendation). and we updated help file on HPF dipswitch usage. It is not reccomended to apply hardware HPF (high pass filter) with dipswitch when using a Bose Professional preset that applies a software HPF. Applying 2 HPF (one hardware, one software) changes the sound from the intended Bose Professional EQ sound.

Bug fixes

  • Parameter Set Lists not functional with CC-XD
  • Blue screen appearing too early when going online in rare cases, befor select device.
  • Can't add amplifier SP blocks to Groups, Parameter Sets via context menu.
  • In some instances, Logic no linger functional in complex systems.
  • In Project View, PM Amps don't show mute ON when the channels are Digital
  • Wires inside the Logic Block are removed by cut and paste of the Logic Block.

Known Issues

The following are the known issues and defects with this release. Information included here can be useful when troubleshooting issues with software or hardware operation:

PSX Amplifiers Settings in Device

  1. PSX does not perform impedance load monitoring during phase 1
  2. PSX cannot act as RTC/Main device during phase 1
  3. PSX cannot allow parameter sets, CC-xD, CSR controls to dynamically control the amplifier when the PC is offline during Phase 1
  4. PSX cannot use timers
  5. PSX Power-On stat is always 'restore last settings' and this cannot be toggled off
  6. All inputs wake up PSX from standby and you cannot limit it to less inputs

PSX Amplifiers Signal Processing

  1. PSX amplifier’s limiter behaves differently than PowerMatch or PowershareD, therefore custom limiter presets have been loaded in the Bose Professional Loudspeaker EQ preset files bank that come with CSD 5.12 and CSD 5.12.1. They are different values then PowerMatch or PowerShareD amplifiers.

Controlspace Remote

  1. When using Controlspace Remote 2.10, if there is a if PSX is in the design - Groups, PSETS, PSET Lists and RC Groups are not displayed in Builder. Previously defined programming still works. Controlspace Remote 3.0 corrects this issue.
