ControlSpace Designer: Fixes Bootup Issue Via New Firmware Version

Improvements

This release includes the following changes:

  • The Realtime EQ functionality has been changed to allow the user to which version will be employed, Legacy or Realtime. Old projects opened with CSD 5.10 will automatically utilize the Legacy implementation until the user specifies that Realtime EQ will be employed. New projects will utilize Realtime EQ as default.
  • When Dante firmware within the system is not compatible with the ControlSpace Designer version you will not be able to go online with the system.
  • A new version of firmware for the MSA12X is included which addresses the no bootup in cold environments issue.
  • The TFTP Server utilized in an AEC update is only active when an AEC update is taking place.
  • Update FS360P II HPF EQ - updates HPF to 60 Hz and corrects limiter settings for optional lo-z (low impedance) usage.
  • The release of ControlSpace Designer software utilizes a new application installer. Installation is performed as expected with a simplified and faster workflow.

This release includes the following new and improved functionality:

  • The Serial Out block within ESP and EX now supports sending serial commands via TCP and UDP as well as the existing RS232 interface present on the hardware.
  • Legacy Dante endpoints, (EP22-D, EP40-D, WP22B-D and WP22BU-D), are now listed in the Dante Endpoints section of the SP Tool Kit for ControlSpace EX Processors. When an Endpoint's IO is added to an ESP/EX processor the Dante routing is automatically configured.
  • The Device Status window now displays the connection status of the Dante Endpoints included in the system design.
  • PowerSpace and PowerSpace+ devices are now available within the Device List for use in the Project View. These are display only, and there is no ControlSpace system control of a PowerSpace+ device.
  • A new expanded logging mode has been added to ControlSpace Designer software to assist PTS, Quality and Software teams, and RSEs when troubleshooting escalated customer
    support sessions.

Bug fixes

Security

  • The ESP and EX firmware included with CSD 5.10 includes important security updates. It is highly recommended to update to the firmware included in this release.

General Issues

  • Fixed issue in AEC update dialog where incorrect device name is displayed in status message.
  • Corrected product name for IZA devices within Devices List.
  • Addressed issue where AmpLink block is not present on a duplicated ESP or EX processor.
  • When a processor is added to a Project File which only contains PowerMatch amplifiers it is now set as the default Real Time Clock (RTC).
  • Fixed issue with search function in CSD embedded help file.
  • Fixed issue opening project files containing AmpLink blocks.
  • Fixed issue where ESP and EX processors may produce click noise during bootup.

Audio Processing

  • Within a parametric EQ, the Bypass All will properly bypass all EQ bands, regardless of their individual bypass state.
  • Fixed issue which caused AmpLink block to not be present within SP Toolkit after it is deleted from an ESP processor so that it can be re-added to the processor/design.
  • Fixed issue related to user-defined gain being properly retained within MSA12X after power cycle.
  • Addressed issue where MSA12X gain is reset to 0dB on restart.
  • Addressed issue where the FS360P II SEQ was using the incorrect values for the high pass and protection limiters.
  • Fixed issue saving group gain offsets in parameter Sets.
  • Fixed issue where parameter Sets invoked by CSD are not always applied to ESP-00 II.

Control

  • Fixed issue which causes processor to become unresponsive when a large quantity of SoIP message requests are received continuously.
  • Addressed issue related where a parameter Set is not recalled correctly when recalled via Parameter Set Recall Block.
  • Addressed issue where the logic out indicator of a meter block is not working properly.
  • Addressed issue where the logic out indicator of a ducker block is not working properly =
  • Fixed issue where CC-1D/2D/3D controllers do not load mute-on state of PowerMatch and
    PowerShare-D outputs.
  • Fixed issue where CC-2D/3D controllers do not correctly display ed source when recalled by a Parameter Set.

Dante

  • Addressed issue where Dante devices are shown as connected when they are not present on the network.

Open issues

Signal Processing

  • If a USB Input Module is not wired to an Output Module, that Module will not show Metering data.

CSD Logic Blocks

  • Assigning a Logic Action from an ESP-00 to a Trigger on an EX-1280 will result in an error.
  • The states of Logic Connectors within the Logic Wiring View may sometimes show the incorrect state. This does not affect the functionality.
  • If you are experiencing issues with go-online time or CSD crashes when going online, consider dragging over Logic blocks instead of copy/pasting Logic blocks.
  • If you are finding CSD crashes when going online with a large number of Logic routes try going online from project view.

Dante End Points

  • The EX-8ML may boot up with a Local address upon first use, rather than DHCP. Rebooting the device will then revert the address to DHCP.

Telephone Call Functionality

  • PSTN and VoIP Ring and Voice Levels are not being properly set. There is no difference in audible level between 0 dB and +10 dB.

ControlSpace Remote

  • On an Avaya system It is not possible to end a VoIP call with CSR when the Far End is in a "Hold" state.

Other Issues

  • When programming ors, Gains, Analog s/Outputs for GPI digital, they may not function when using EX-1280C with Legacy devices.
  • PowerMatch will not alert the user to a Digital Audio loss (Dante, AmpLink, ESPLink, CobraNet or other Digital Audio Sources).
