Bose Work Configuration Update: New Features and Fixes Released

New Features:

  • Multiuser installation support for Bose Work Configuration allows access for all logged-in users.
  • New default image settings will overwrite defaults from the previous release, while user-modified settings remain intact.

Enhancements:

  • Auto framing speed improvements enhance responsiveness.
  • Microphone beams now track talkers with increased accuracy.
  • VB1 outputs 1280x720 resolution for Barco CX with Barco firmware v2.08.

Fixed Bugs:

  • Fixed the 50Hz antiflicker setting to ensure it is persistent.
  • Users are now notified of lack of write access to USB during firmware updates.
  • Improved robustness of the green LED indicator when streaming.
  • Corrections made to the owner's guide regarding GPI descriptions.
  • SNMP API now handles the 0 sub-identifier for OID values correctly.
  • Get/set operations in SNMP API remain usable when the trap server is unavailable or not set.
  • Resolved conflicts when using Bose Work Configuration and Bose Work Management simultaneously.
  • Camera disabled settings are retained through reboot.
  • Bose Work Configuration App UI fixes include:
  • Bluetooth metering corrections.
  • Stream indication adjustments for connected devices.
  • USB output level metering now appears correctly.
  • GPI label corrected to CTRL on the hardware.
  • Pacific Standard Time set to GMT-8 appropriately.

Open Issues:

  • If a mobile device paired with VB1 ignores an incoming call, the audio level may default to 50%.
  • iOS users might struggle to connect via the Bose Work mobile app and Bluetooth simultaneously.
    Workaround: Disconnect mobile from VB1 and use the app to connect. Forget VB1 from the BT paired list if issues persist.
  • Exclusion zones in Dynamic mode remain active in Static mode but are not visible.
    Workaround: Disable all exclusion zones in Dynamic mode when using Static beams.
  • Beam visual displays in Bose Work Configuration may be out of sync after power-up.
  • Users may notice an excessively dark image after loading a profile; press Restore Image Settings to resolve this.
  • Scheduled firmware updates do not function in Bose Work Management without NTP service configured on VB1.
    Workaround: Manually install updates.
  • VB1 may exit standby when WiFi network connectivity changes.
    Workaround: Disable Low Power Mode (LPM).
  • Some older Dell laptops experience USB-C port flickering when using DisplayLink.
    Workaround: Use a USB-A port instead.
