Renesas is upgrading CC-Link to the next stage

Renesas has developed a CC-Link IE TSN-compatible on-chip (SoC) system, as well as software and a development environment. With this solution, customers can begin evaluating CC-Link IE TSN communication after an hour of setup. SoC supports CC-Link IE TSN networks with the fewest external components, simplifying system design, and saving engineering costs. This contributes to the multi-protocol capabilities capability for Industry 4.0. The SoC contains dedicated hardware for CC-Link IE TSN with an integrated gigabit physical layer (PHI) and a specified R-IN Engine consisting of a Cortek-M core, real-time operating system components (HV-RTOS) and an Ethernet accelerator.
