Update

Fixed: The controller does not send mDNS queries or responses after upgrade to 17.12.6 or 17.15.4

What's New in Cisco IOS XE 17.15.4b

Wired Proximity-Based Resolution:
The Wired Proximity-Based Resolution feature supports Wi-Fi 7 Access Points (APs) by offering an additional method to determine the country code during AP provisioning. When APs are connected to the same switch and can detect each other using Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) or Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), they are identified as neighbors and included in a neighborhood graph.

However, if an AP has a wired neighbor that is only one hop away, it will not be considered an adjacency for this feature. This is because the controller does not have visibility into the full network topology or the CDP neighbors of the switch to which the AP is connected.
