New and improved features and fixed issues

Improvements

  • When adding a webinar to a series, registration is enabled by default
Webinar hosts now don't have to worry about losing registration data when adding a webinar to a series. Webinar registration is automatically enabled when you add the webinar to a series. If registration was already enabled for the webinar, the webinar registration will be synchronized with the series registration. This means that any registration data that was captured before the webinar was added to the series will be retained. However, new registration data will only be captured based on the data captured by the series.
  • This feature is disabled by default. To enable it, you must open a ticket with the Cisco Cloud Services team.
  • Cohost can start and stop a practice session

Updates to Webex Desktop Application (WDA)

  • Webex Desktop Application (WDA) won’t automatically upgraded to Webex App in a VDI environment. To ensure the smoothest possible transition, we strongly recommend that you take the following actions before enabling video mesh ready meetings:
  1. Manually remove WDA from your VDI server and deploy Webex App by following the Webex App deployment guidelines.
  2. Deploy the Webex app VDI plugins that will work for message, calling, meetings, and webinars.
