New Webex Features, Enhancements, and Fixes Announced
New Features:
- Configuration of Webex Control Hub and Webex Site Administration to support eCDN: Leverages Vbrick Rev for enterprise content distribution and video content management.
- Web scheduler now supports multiple time zones: Hosts can plan times in the scheduler for invitees across various time zones.
- Support for VDI plugin on MacOS: The VDI plugin is now supported.
- Support for Android 12: Webex Meetings is now compatible with Android 12.
- Registration IDs in Webex Events: Hosts can generate random IDs for attendees to prevent unauthorized joins.
- Hosts can invite attendees or upload CSV files in Webex Events: Up to 10,000 attendees can be added via CSV file uploads.
Enhancements:
- Easy to use audio mute state management: Accurate reflection of mute status for on-premises registered video devices.
- Improvement in the meetings mobile app: Enhancements made to the More Menu.
- Contact information customization in Control Hub: Consistency across sites for organization-level contact information.
- New GDM Location: Addition of a Mumbai Data Center to improve audio quality for users in India.
- Folder and version compatibility changes: Adjustments in install folders for Windows users.
