Webex Events Update: New Features and Enhancements Released

New Features:

• Build Your Own Brand and Customization in Webex Events: Hosts can brand and customize the Welcome and Registration pages.
• Chat with Everyone in Your Webex Webinar: All participants can now chat during webinars.
• Scheduling Template Available for Webex Events: Hosts can save and reuse event configurations.
• Past Events Report in Control Hub: Export reports for past events managed through Control Hub.
• Support E.164 Phone Numbers: Webex now supports E.164 international phone numbers.
• Meetings API Support for Webex Events (New): Developers can schedule events via the API.

Enhancements:

• Increased Number of Videos that can be Moved to Stage: Move up to eight videos onto the stage.
• Pop-Out Panels Directly from the Meeting Window: Users can now manage panels easily from the meeting window.
• Optimized Spacing Between Videos and Shared Content: Improved layout for shared content.
• Improved Active Speaker Switching: Enhanced video response for active speaker identification.
• Keyboard Shortcut Optimizations: Updated and added new keyboard shortcuts for better accessibility.
• Full Mobile Support for Webex Outlook Add-in: Users can now schedule Webex meetings directly from mobile Outlook apps.

Fixed Bugs:

• Display the Attendee's Actual Phone Number on the Report: Attendees’ actual phone numbers are now shown in reports for better contact.
• Webex Supports E.164 Phone Numbers in Reports: E.164 numbers now integrated into user management and CSV imports/exports.

Open Issues:

• Collaboration restrictions for company users joining external meetings will be available in version 41.9.
• Custom registration questions aren't saved as part of templates but can be reused.
