Connectivity Product Update: Enhancements and Bug Fixes
New Features:
- Python support: Go to developer.crestron.com for more information.
- FIPS mode: A restore must be done to enable FIPS.
- Secure WebSocket control: Ability to enable/disable secure WebSocket with `SECUREWEBSOCKETPORT ON/OFF`.
- PROXY command: (S)CIP connections can go through a proxy server. Use the
EXCLUDELOCALparameter to exclude connections to local control systems. - PROXYALLOW command: Allows proxy servers to resolve DNS for external sites.
Enhancements:
- AV Framework: Integrated as part of Control System firmware.
- Fusion 5 XPanel: Now supported.
- Additional USB-Ethernet improvements: Enhancements made to performance.
Fixed Bugs:
- SCIP device rebooting: Stopping a program with multiple SCIP devices connected could lead to a reboot.
- SCIP connection drops: Dropping connections after a prolonged period may cause a processor reboot.
- SIMPL+ GetSeries(): Incorrectly returned 3 instead of 4.
- C# pinging issue: Pinging a device would always return TtlExpired.
- SNMP Interface: Selection was not populated; unable to add multiple SNMP managers to the same community.
- BPDU Frames: Would pass through to LAN on Control Subnet.
- CrestronEthernetHelper issues: Not all properties output correct values.
- SHOWLICENSEABLE command: Would not always show correct licensable applications.
- File backup issues: Unable to copy current files to backup folder when switching between RM and Internal.
- DHCPOPT console command error: Incorrect default marked in help response.
- CLOUDPROXYURL command: Doesn't accept passwords containing "@".
- WebUI NTP Servers: Port and Key fields always showed NaN.
- UDPServer issue: Will not send packets to join multicast group on router-based products.
Open Issues:
- HomeKit functionality: Not functioning properly due to an updated SDK. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.
