Update

Voice Match Added to All Google Assistant-Compatible Devices

The Voice Match feature will now be added to Google Assistant-Compatible devices. An official blog post from Google Product Manager Praveen Chandran confirms that the feature addition is part of their "continued effort to support an open ecosystem". Voice Match identifies who's speaking. Once it identifies who you are, it will then proceed to retrieve personal messages, appointments, and other information for that specific person. It can store up to 6 user voice profiles per Google Assistant-compatible device. This feature has been exclusive for Google Home and Google Nest devices up until now. The new update adds this simple yet useful functionality to all devices with an onboard Google Assistant which means that the third-party smart home and smart speaker products will be getting this feature as well.
