After May 23, 2025, Gemini in Looker will be enabled by default for Looker (original) instances outside of the EMEA region.

Looker admins can opt out of automatic enablement by disabling the Automated Gemini in Looker enablement and user management setting on the Settings page in the Looker Admin panel.
