To activate the microphone, follow these steps:
- Go to system settings and make sure your microphone is working properly
- At the bottom of the screen in Meet, click the microphone icon to activate your microphone
- If you have macOS Mojave version 10.14 or later, you must allow the Chrome / Firefox browser access to the microphone
- System Preferences> Security & Privacy
- Privacy Microphone
- Check the boxes: Google Chrome, Firefox
- In Browser, type: "Chrome: // restart" to restart the browser
- Restart the computer
