The difference between these standards is that H.323 is telephony based while SIP is internet-based. Since SIP is essentially internet-based it becomes its advantage, it is designed to be a more flexible component of our current Internet structure which means it can be easily integrated with other internet protocols. However, it can't work with existing telephone signaling protocols. For a more in-depth comparison, visit this link. I hope this helps.
