What is the Frequency of Trigger Checking?

I have written two applets that are checking the temp(indoor & outdoor) via Ecobee. The application is running but only once or twice a day max. What is the frequency of a trigger running to check for a certain value and who or where is this controlled?

You can set the frequency of the check yourself. IFTTT ( = if This Then That). The trigger determines how or when the event is triggered. If the trigger says every minute, then every minute the value is checked. To check the function, test the whole thing manually.
