The Vision Cam XM2 is a freely programmable industrial camera that combines high-resolution imaging technology and integrated edge AI in a compact, industrial-grade housing. The integrated NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin module enables image data processing and the execution of deep learning models directly on the camera, without the need for an external PC or cloud connection. With sensor options ranging from 5 to 12 megapixels, it is suitable for quality assurance, process control, and AI-based inspections in production, packaging, and testing machines. The Ubuntu Linux environment supports C++, Python, and OpenCV, as well as optional HALCON, offering developers a wide range of possibilities for custom image processing applications. An integrated real-time communication controller synchronizes image capture, lighting, and conveyor belt movement with microsecond precision. With dimensions of 105 × 60 × 64 mm, Gigabit Ethernet, digital inputs and outputs, and an optional encoder input, the camera can be flexibly integrated into existing systems. The hardware platform, which is available for the long term, and development tools such as ViewIT and the IMAGO SDK support machine builders, OEMs, and system integrators in implementing and planning their production applications for the long term.
