Update

Jitsi Meet Update now allows the transmission of a sound at the screen

Due to the Corona crisis, Jitsi Meet is increasingly gaining users. That's why the developers of Jitsi are working on building the in-house infrastructure to cope with the rapid increase in traffic.

With the new update, the screen-sharing options have been expanded. This makes it possible to share both the sound and the screen during a video conference. This allows, for example, a YouTube video to be watched together. However, there are differences when using different operating systems: With Windows users the system-wide sound is transmitted and with Linux and macOS users only the sound of certain tabs can be shared with the participants of the video conference. Another feature is that Jitsi users can now more easily switch between the devices used for video and audio transmission.
