Compatibility with OnRobot Grippers?

I've seen that the KUKA LBR iiwa is marked as a compatible with commonly used OnRobot Grippers such as VGC10, 2FG7, etc. I also have a OnRobot ComputeBox for KUKA robots. However, an intial research lead to the conclusion that the ComputeBox expects KRL commands from the controller, while as far as I know, the KUKA LBR iiwa is only programmable in JAVA! Any clues tips or hints on how to proceed?
