Exciting New Features and Bug Fixes for CollabOS Update

New Features:

• RightSight 2 Grid View (Beta): Cut out empty space, zoom in on participants for equitable representation during meetings. Detailed instruction available here.
• Zoom Rooms Appliance:
• Multi-Stream (Smart Gallery) features five video streams from the Zoom Rooms device; one for the entire room and four for participants.
• Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows Support:
• Grid View provides one video stream with up to four grids; requires Sync App (version 2.5.293 and above). Instructions found here.
• Local Network Access: Check device status page for quick health status when Local Network Access is enabled.
• Additional platform support will be available in future CollabOS updates.

Enhancements:

• Zoom Rooms:
• Updated to version 5.12.6 with HDMI input supporting up to 1080p@30fps and High Fidelity Audio mode.
• Energy conservation improvements during operating time; choose between Device Operation and Idle Mode in ZDM.
• Note limitations for “Control with Idle Time-Out” in Zoom Rooms; People count is always used regardless of CollabOS settings.
• Potential delay of 30 seconds to a minute for Zoom Rooms Appliance mode to wake displays.
• Multi-Certificate Support: Upload up to 50 CA certificates via Local Network Access; detailed upload instructions available here.
• Local Network Access: Now supports FQDN for access; reboot required after hostname change.
• Microphone Performance: Enhanced to better capture speaker's voice in higher noise environments.

Fixed Bugs:

• Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows: Resolved audio playback issues and camera video loss.
• Fixed camera issue with Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini dropping to lower right when idle; update required for Sync app.
• Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android: Fixed black video stream issue experienced by remote participants.
• Compliance issue resolved in Microsoft end-point manager regarding “Block USB debugging on device”.
• Zoom Rooms Appliance Mode: Fixed "Preferred camera not working" issue and microphone muting problem during HDMI sharing.
• Resolved audio issues with video shared via AirPlay.
• Logitech Sync: Fixed in-use state showing incorrectly and erroneous update failure notifications.
• Logitech CollabOS: Fixed time zone issues in Central European countries and fully populated device LLDP attributes.

Open Issues:

• RightSight 2 Grid View (Beta): Video lag may occur during zooming in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows meetings.
• 802.1x Authentication on Local Network Access: Proxy and TCP/IP details are unchangeable post-authentication with EAP - PEAP configuration.
• Status Page: Wireless 802.1x authentication status is not displayed.
