Update

Introducing Remote UI Access and several bug fixes

NEW FEATURES

Introducing Remote UI Access!

  • Remote UI Access allows you to interact with CollabOS devices as if you were right in front of them.
  • Our first Remote UI Access partnership is with GoTo Resolve, a leader in remote endpoint management. GoTo Resolve now lets you manage Logitech CollabOS devices alongside many other device types and endpoints in your fleet.

RightSight 2 Grid View is no longer beta

  • Grid View uses AI to intelligently frame in-room meeting participants. It gives everyone more equitable representation in the meeting by detecting faces and zooming in on each person to give them their own frame.
  • In this release, the grouping algorithm has been greatly improved to reduce camera movement and minimize duplicative participant framing (which we internally call hitchhikers!).
  • The single-participant scenario has also been improved. Now, when only one person is detected in the room, Rally Bar will now frame the sole participant fully utilizing the main camera.

Introducing External Audio Support (Beta)!

  • Initially available for Zoom Rooms in Appliance mode, you can now connect an external DSP to your Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini via a USB port.
  • When activated, the built-in microphone and speakers are deactivated, and audio-based features such as Speaker View are not available. While in beta, external audio is not compatible with Direct Guest Join.

New Logitech Sync features

  • Using Sync Portal, admins can now modify a network-connected device’s hostname.
  • A custom NTP server configuration can be set and will automatically apply when a device is connected to Sync. This new feature can be applied at either an individual room level or in a group setting.

New Zoom Room features

  • Logitech devices running CollabOS 1.10 can now wake up the meeting room using the PIR sensor data on Tap or Tap IP Zoom Room controller. This works great in conjunction with the Idle Time out settings to make sure rooms use less power when not in use.

New Teams on Android features

  • Smart Camera Controls: End users can now use the native Teams controller to switch between various AI camera features such as Group Framing, Active Speaker & Composite People View.
  • External Camera Support: End users can now use native Teams controls to toggle between the built-in camera and connected USB cameras.

IMPROVEMENTS

RightSight 2 participants detection has been improved. Our latest machine learning models should be better at handling a couple of corner cases in which false detections occurred.
Camera Zone enhancements

  • Established Camera Zones are now applied to room occupancy detection and system wake logic.

Local Network Access enabled by default

  • New devices running CollabOS 1.10 or higher when being set up, will have LNA turned on by default. making it one step easier to get devices configured over the network. Existing devices that upgrade to CollabOS 1.10 or later will not change their existing LNA settings.

BUG FIXES

Teams Rooms on Android

  • Fixed an issue where a CollabOS update triggered within Teams Admin Center required the device to have access to a Logitech server.
  • Fixed an issue where the Teams application logo would show up intermittently.
  • Fixed an issue where the mute state on the Teams UI intermittently did not match with Mic Pod mute state.
  • Fixed an issue where pressing the Scribe share button sometimes did not start the whiteboard share.

Zoom Rooms appliance

  • Fixed an issue where the microphone would not work on Direct Guest Join call into a Teams meeting.
  • Fixed an issue where in dual display setup, the second display will enter mirrored mode after the display enters power saving mode.
  • Fixed an issue where in certain meeting scenarios with more than 100 remote participants, selecting the Speaker Focus camera control would sometimes cause the device to reboot.
  • Fixed an issue where displays would turn off outside of a meeting even when participants were present in the meeting room.

CollabOS

  • Fixed an issue where a BYOD did not work for a small number of devices in BYOD appliance mode
  • Fixed an issue where the camera stream was green when used with Teams application running on VDI clients

KNOWN ISSUES

Remote UI Access

  • Network reset disables Remote UI Access. The Remote UI Access setting has to be enabled again to access the device remotely.
  • When the device is in low-power mode, you can wake the device ONLY by clicking on the ‘Home’ button in remote control screen of GoTo resolve console.
  • When TAP USB is mounted to wall, the screen shows upside down in remote view.
  • Remote UI Access feature get disabled when changing the MTU size to 1280.
  • When device nickname is changed in GoTo Resolve console, it reverts back to default after some time.
  • In some scenarios, status of the device shows 'in session' after the remote control has ended in GoTo Resolve.
