Introducing Microsoft Teams Multi-Stream IntelliFrame (Beta)

NEW FEATURES

Introducing Microsoft Teams Multi-Stream IntelliFrame (Beta)

  • Available for Teams Rooms on Windows, Multi-Stream IntelliFrame provides a more immersive remote participant experience by sending multiple video streams of in-room participants rather than placing them all in one stream.
  • Sub-Tiling is available as an option to ensure everyone is seen by further optimizing the space between meeting participants and subdividing streams into smaller subframes.
  • This feature must be enabled using the Sync app, learn more. Additional information about Microsoft Multi-Stream is available here.

Introducing Zoom Rooms Intelligent Director (Beta)

  • Zoom Rooms Intelligent Director for appliances leverages the multi-camera experience delivered by Logitech Rally Bar and Sight to create more natural, engaging interactions. Remote participants will now receive two views: a high-quality room view and a tabletop view enabled by Smart Switching.
  • Learn how to enable Intelligent Director.

Introducing Tap HDMI-IN Support for Zoom Rooms Appliances (Beta)

  • Content-sharing using HDMI-IN on Tap is now supported on Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini for Zoom Rooms Appliances.
  • While this feature is in beta, admins may need to update Tap to the latest firmware 1.1.51 using the Sync app.
  • Learn more about Tap HDMI-IN support and review the wiring diagram on Logitech Hub.

Introducing Camera Controls in BYOD Mode

  • Rally Bar conference cameras and MeetUp 2 can now pair with Tap IP or Tap to provide in-room camera controls such as RightSight 2 modes, manual camera PTZ controls, and more when configured to use BYOD as the service provider.

IMPROVEMENTS

RightSight 2

  • When Grid View is presented in a single stream (such as Zoom Rooms Multi-Focus or Composite camera mode for Teams Rooms on Android), Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini’s mechanical PTZ will now be used to zoom in on meeting participants. In certain scenarios, this provides significantly better image quality, especially on Rally Bar, where the optical zoom is now utilized.
  • Learn more about RightSight 2 Grid View.

Smart Switching (Beta)

  • The Smart Switching experience is now more consistent, with fewer cases where a person is shown twice — particularly in crowded rooms.
  • Image sharpness has been improved in certain scenarios where a user was framed by Rally Bar.

Sync Remote Management

  • Logitech Extend is now supported as a monitored device on Sync Portal.
  • In USB Mode, you can now control Sub-Tiling via Sync Portal.

Remote UI Access

  • We made several user experience improvements based on your feedback:
  1. When initiating a Remote UI Access session from Sync Portal, the session is now automatically verified without requiring LNA login credentials.
  2. In-room participants can now end Remote UI sessions through their CollabOS Relay-paired Tap IP device.
  3. MacOS Safari is now a supported web browser for accessing Remote UI Access.

Local Network Access (LNA)

  • We added the ability to initiate a factory reset using LNA.
  • The onboarding flow and device settings will now let you enable LNA even when there is no network connection.
  • We improved the handling of EAP TLS connections by devices when metadata is incomplete.
  • If your network supports FQDN-based resolution, LNA will now connect and display the device hostname instead of the local IP.
  • We added the MAC address and serial number on the LNA activation screen for devices without touch control.

Language Support

  • Added support for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean keyboards.

BUG FIXES

CollabOS

  • Fixed an issue where Rally Bar cameras connected to displays with inconsistent or no HDMI EDID signal would show the BYOD splash screen when coming out of idle state.
  • Fixed an issue where certain devices connected in dual-display may show duplicate content across both screens or show a “No Signal” message.
  • Fixed an issue where devices running CollabOS 1.13 in an out-of-factory state would randomize the wireless MAC address reported by devices.
  • Fixed an issue where green flickering occasionally occurred when re-enabling Smart Switching in a call.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the camera streams to become unavailable on ChromeOS-based systems.

Teams Room on Android

  • Fixed an issue where the Teams Admin Center dashboard displayed "Video encoder hardware failure" messages during calls with degraded network conditions. For more information, see known issues.
  • Fixed an issue where the device volume settings would default to "0" when a configuration profile was applied from the Teams Admin Center.
  • Fixed an issue where RightSight 2 was intermittently disabled on the device and Sync despite auto-framing being enabled by default.
  • Fixed an issue where dual-display setups with always-connected HDMI configurations would display a "Couldn't Start Projecting" error after a system reboot.
  • Fixed an issue where Teams Camera Controls displayed "/BACK/0" instead of "Built-in Camera"

Zoom Rooms on Android

  • Fixed an issue where sometimes re-framing in-room participants was slow when camera was set to Multi-Focus camera mode.
