New RightSight 2 Grid View and multiple new improvements
NEW FEATURES
- Introducing RightSight 2 Grid View (Beta)
- Grid View enables equitable representation in meetings by cutting out empty space and zooming in on people to fill their frame. In-person meeting participants can be displayed in up to four different grids. For information on how to enable Grid View, you can find more information here.
- Zoom Rooms Appliance
- Multi-Stream (also known as Smart Gallery): With this setting, remote participants see a total of five video streams coming from the Zoom Rooms device.
- The first video stream shows the entire room.
- The other four streams show meeting participants.
- Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows Support
- For Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows customers, Grid View will produce a single video stream with up to four individual grids.
- To enable Grid View you will need Sync App (version 2.5.293 and above), found here.
- Additional platform support coming in future CollabOS updates.
- Grid View is in beta to collect your feedback and refine the experience.
- Local Network Access: status page
- Now when Local Network Access is enabled, it is possible to check on the device status for a quick glance at the health of the device.
Improvements
- Zoom Rooms
- Updated Zoom Room to version 5.12.6.
- HDMI input now supports up to 1080p@30fps.
- High Fidelity Audio mode
- Improvements to conserve energy when the device is using operating time and Idle Mode controls.
- You can now choose between Device Operation and Idle Mode in ZDM. The idle mode will automatically turn off the TV when no one is present in the room for a set period of time.
- Limitations when using “ Control with Idle Time-Out” under Zoom Rooms Device Operation time
- Zoom Rooms uses the People count always, independent of the CollabOS setting.
- It could take 30 seconds to a minute for Zoom Rooms Appliance mode to wake up the displays
- It is recommended to disable the Tap Motion sensor since it would wake up the room and show a black image.
- Multi-Certificate Support
- You can now upload up to 50 CA certificates to your CollabOS device using Local Network Access. You can find instructions on how to upload certificates here.
- Local Network Access
- FQDN (fully qualified domain name) support is now available to access Local Network Access.
- When the hostname is changed, you need to reboot the device to trigger DNS update.
