Rally Plus and BYOD ?

Hi

I've been asked to create a meeting room system for a medium size meeting room, and I believe that the Logitech Rally Plus system, is something I could install, but the main issue is that we all have laptops, and we just want to bring our laptops in, plug it into the system, and have dual monitor output (2 X 85inch TVs) as aswell as the camera, speakers and microphones. Can this be done without the Tap ? We cannot have a mini PC or NUC due to the extreme security we have here. I cannot see where to plug in a single cable into the Desk hub to do this on the Rally Plus system and I don't want to spends Thousands and find it does not do what I need. I am not an AV guy just facilities so very much learning as I'm going along.

Thanks

Hi, this also works without Tap.

You just need to connect the HDMI input and USB output from the table hub to your laptop. With a Clickshare CX-20 on those outputs, you could even reduce it to a single dongle to plug into the laptops.

Does that help any?

Greetings

yes I was thinking of putting in a usb-c dongle hub, such as Hyper Drive gen 2 found on amazon. I've ordered the Rally plus. Just checking with our IT about adding the drivers for the usb dongle and will give that a go.

We do this doing docking stations connected to the room kit - so there is only one USB cable to plug into the laptop. You need to use a USB-C port on the docking station for the camera to get enough power - otherwise you need to get a Logitech Power Splitter adapter (which plugs to the mains - circa £25) to provide enough power to the Rally camera.
