Screen does not detect HDMI signal after prolonged inactivity?

Hello,

We have set up our system in a meeting room a little while ago. Since then, our screen no longer recognizes an HDMI signal from the system when it has not been used for a long time.

So the screen stays black. (It seems like it's in some kind of SLEEP or STANDBY mode?).

Only after rebooting the system/Intel NUC does the system recognize the signal again. We already installed a BIOS update because we got a tip that it could be that, but didn't help.

Does anyone else have an idea what it could be or how to solve the problem?

Hi,

Probably you have to check your energy settings at the monitor you're using and make sure CEC is turned ON. Don't let the screen turn itself off and make sure it goes in stand-by when receiving no signal

Update
:Test now connected a Samsung TV, which worked well for a day and displayed the picture reliably, after waking up. Currently, I can unfortunately recreate the same problem there as with the Sony: A black picture.

Workaround remains unplug and let the whole system reboot.

Moin together,

we are currently experiencing the same problem in several rooms.

Currently we are using Sony TV devices such as the FW-85BZ40H.

Before a firmware update, the Sony regularly reported "No HDMI signal". After a firmware update, the Sony just shows us a black screen when left idle for a while, but is definitely on.

In order for the picture to be displayed again, it is sufficient to remove the Sony from the power and then switch it on again (select HDMI 1 if necessary).

Currently the standby mode is active after 1 hour. CEC is activated or the Logitech Tap wakes up the Sony. The complete shutdown of the Sony has been deactivated.

The Intel Nuc is up to date and the Logitech system is also up to date with the latest firmware.

If anyone has any other suggestions on this, feel free to bring them on. :-)

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

A firmware update for the HDMI chipset can be downloaded for the Intel Nuc. After that, the connection to the display remains.

Pay attention to the Intel Nuc version.

this can be overcome by using an EDID minder between the NUC and screen to fool the NUC in to thinking the screen is always on.
