why is there an echo?

We have several tap-systems in our conferencerooms. According to users, a few weeks ago an issue appeared where there is an echo effect when they have a laptop pc connected. They have tried shutting of the microphone on the laptop, but the issue remains.

Answers

The question is somewhat unspecific and the structure of the system is not entirely clear.

  • Echo can occur if the room does not have sufficient acoustic measures to suppress or absorb reflective sound waves.
  • Echo can occur if the algorithm can no longer calculate this out.
  • If the setup of the system is incorrect.
  • The wrong components have been used.
  • Update the Logitech components. If the system is connected to a PC or laptop via USB, install Logitech Sync and perform an update. If the system is in Android mode, you can perform an update via the settings.
  • In the display and audio settings of the Logitech devices, the algorithm strength of the reverb control can be adjusted to better suppress the echo.
  • Change the output device on the laptop, which can be found in the audio settings of the laptop or the video conferencing software.
