How to create a SD Card backup on the Loxone Miniserver?

If by any means the data you have is lost, or you are migrating to a new Loxone Miniserver, it is important to have a backup function's source. The SD card backup feature can create copies of all files you have currently on the card, so you can transfer them to a device of your choice and store them.

When creating the SD backup, you need to make sure that the Loxone Miniserver is selected in the periphery, and under the Miniserver tab on the top ribbon - click the "Backup SD Card" button.

It is worth mentioning that if you are using a client/gateway system, both of the SD cards will be backed up.

In the window that pops up for the SD Card backup, there is a selection of choice options on which element you would like to create a backup for. They are all selected by default, but you can make your own choice.

The backup starts after pressing the "Start backup" button, where on the window you will have a detailed overview of what is happening.

A message will appear after completion, and you can close the window after that.

If you need to find the location of the backup on your PC, navigate to the following location - C:\Users\User\Documents\Loxone\Loxone Config\Backups\Backup__< date and time >_< version > (or in the location where you have the Loxone software installed)

The IP address will be the address that you have on the Miniserver, the date and time of when the backup is created and the version of the software used.
