How to update Loxone Miniserver Extensions?

What happens when an update for the Extensions is needed? What needs to be performed from my side in order to make sure the updates are being carried out?

When an extension needs an update, in the Device status menu it will be highlighted in orange, usually happening after a recent Miniserver update or adding an extension with an old firmware version.

The extensions are updated in the background, automatically from the Miniserver, and usually, they are remaining operational. Sometimes, there can be a delay in the communication with them while updating, and very rarely, some of the functions won't be available after finishing the update.
