Release notes for Office for Mac
May 12, 2026
Version 16.109 (Build 26051019)
Feature updates
PowerPoint
- Copilot can edit your document in PowerPoint (Unpaid): Copilot in PowerPoint lets you create, edit, and refine presentations through natural conversation, directly in your presentation. You can start a new presentation or build on an existing one, asking Copilot to generate slides, update content, improve layouts, and polish design—while preserving formatting, structure, and branding. Available to Copilot Chat users (without a Microsoft 365 Copilot license).
Outlook
- Security: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) helps protect sensitive information by detecting and preventing unintended sharing of confidential data, while allowing users to work productively within organizational policies.
- Calendar: Users can view and update their work location from the calendar grid when using Microsoft 365 enterprise accounts.
- Reorderable Left Rail: Outlook for Mac now lets you customize the left navigation rail, simply rearrange Mail, Calendar, Contacts, and more to match your workflow.
