Microsoft Teams uses 7x7 grid view thus giving you a total of 49 participants that you can view during a meeting.
To enable the Large gallery view:
Note that this is available when 10 or more people have their cameras turned on. The Large gallery view feature is also not selectable in the menu when there is no one sharing their camera.
