Teams
Why is Microsoft teams often compare to Slack?
Teams is often compared to slack. Are the two platforms really so similar or is there rather a lack of additional alternatives?

Since both of them are tools for collaboration (team chat app) and both of them are well known, it is normal that they'll be compared. The biggest difference is that Microsoft Teams is designed for larger companies so it is expected that its set up will be more complex. Slack on the other hand is easy to set up and administrate with integrations for almost every tool needed.
Each of the two communication and collaboration tools has its advantages and disadvantages. One can accommodate more participants (Teams), but the other is easier to integrate external participants (Slack).
With one, more apps can be integrated (Slack), but the other brings a whole range of programs with it (Teams due to its Microsoft 365 background).
In principle, every company has to decide for itself which one to choose - no one will be able to give a clear recommendation here.
