Major New Features & Enhancements
- Teams Connector – Important Authentication Change
- New authentication model with Pexip Infinity (due to deprecation of TLS client certificates by public CAs).
All customers using Teams Connectors must upgrade both Pexip Infinity and the Teams Connector to version 39 before May 2026. - Trusted Lobby Bypass for Zoom Rooms in Microsoft Teams
Zoom Rooms can now join Teams meetings directly as trusted/registered devices (bypassing the lobby).
Requires a new zoomtrustedjoin license and configuration of the Zoom customer account number. - Personal Conference Layouts – Now Fully Supported
Hosts and Guests can independently choose their own layout without affecting other participants.
Pexip web app users can now also select a personal layout (when enabled). - Hyper-V 2025 Support
Microsoft Hyper-V 2025 is now supported.
Important: Hyper-V 2019 is no longer supported from version 39. Deployment must be done manually using generic images. - New Default Minimum PIN Length
Default minimum PIN length for VMRs increased from 4 to 6 digits (new installations only). - Existing systems are unaffected. PINs can still be 4–20 digits depending on the global setting.
- In-Conference Timer / Countdown
New option to display a timer at the top of the screen for all participants:
- Elapsed time since conference start
- Countdown (time remaining)
- Current time (UTC)
- Google Meet – External Media Collection Support
New in-conference indicator + audio announcement when Google Meet external media processing is active. - Theme Improvements
New audio files and themeconfig.json settings to support the Google Meet external media indicators. - Customizable Registration SSO Timeout
New support for a SessionDuration custom attribute for SAML IdPs (e.g. Microsoft Entra ID) that don’t support SessionNotOnOrAfter.
Administrative Improvements
- Registration status/history pages now show vendor details for registered devices.
- All references to “Microsoft Lync” removed from the admin interface (now only Skype for Business / SfB).
- Upgrade package upload now shows a progress bar.
- Ability to reorder aliases when configuring services with multiple aliases.
