Poly VideoOS Update Brings New Features and Important Bug Fixes

New Features:

  • Support for Zoom Rooms 5.4.0 - This Poly VideoOS software release supports Zoom Rooms and Zoom Rooms Controller 5.4.0.
  • Setting the Conference Provider to Device Mode - Users can configure the conference provider to lock the system in Device Mode.
  • VLAN and LLDP Enhancements
  • LLDP on TC8 devices support.
  • Bug fixes enabling system LLDP routing to automatically receive routable IP addresses.
  • Bug fixes for automatic selection of VLAN ID 1 with 802.1(p/Q) enabled.
  • Ability to modify VLAN ID during configuration.
  • 802.1X Enhancements - Users can now select primary and secondary authentication methods.
  • Zoom Device Management Integration with TC8 - Manage TC8 via Zoom Admin Portal and update associated applications.
  • Studio X50 and Studio X30 LED Bar Brightness - Users can now adjust LED brightness through the web interface.
  • Polycom Content App Port - Disable the Polycom Content App via the web interface.

  • Monitor Display Settings Automatically Configured - Automatically optimizes settings upon LG monitor connection.

  • Fixed Miracast connection issue preventing PIN display.
  • Resolved server URL error during manual software updates.
  • Fixed camera power frequency default in Japan causing flickering.

  • Adjusted system volume levels to prevent defaulting to 86.
  • Content:
  • Minimized/maximized content video from TC8 now works correctly.
  • Resolved HDMI content sharing session issues after exiting Device Mode.
  • Hardware:
  • Restart issues with Studio X50 and automatic detections on the system.
  • Network:
  • Corrected DHCP settings issue when 802.1p/Q is enabled.

Open Issues:

  • Application: Connection loss with third-party Android tablets using Wi-Fi as the primary network.
  • Audio: Log downloads can temporarily disconnect the Poly Microphone IP Adapter.
  • Content: Blurriness in shared content with black text on red background.
  • Device Management: Unregistering gatekeeper and SIP registrar in Device Mode.
  • Provisioning: Issues with incorrect warning messages during configuration.
  • User Interface: Remote monitoring camera controls disabled after waking the system.
