Trio 8500 Adds Zoom Room Controller 5.3.0 Support

New Features:

  • Trio 8500 systems support Zoom Room Controller (ZRC) 5.3.0 (214), including the latest security updates. For details, visit the Zoom Help Center.

Enhancements:

  • Zoom Room Controller 5.3.0 adds support for security improvements.

Fixed Bugs:

  • Users were unable to join meetings using Alexa for Business commands.
  • The phone may reboot repeatedly if the WPAD feature is enabled and configured with <code>feature.wpad.proxy="PROXY :"</code>.
  • When the subject field of a meeting invitation contains four-digit numbers, Trio sometimes incorrectly treats them as dialable numbers.
  • The phone continues to answer calls with the microphone unmuted when using the SIP alert-info configuration to auto-answer calls muted.
  • A synchronization issue in the REST API during calls lasting approximately 45 minutes may drop the call on Trio phones paired with a Poly Trio VisualPro and Polycom Pano system.

Open Issues:

  • On Poly Trio phones, the ringback tone may not play for the first several outgoing Teams calls after a reboot.
  • A Trio paired to a Zoom Room PC may not provide audio for calls using the Zoom Room PC 3rd Party Join feature to join Microsoft Teams calls.
  • When using OTD for calendaring and scheduling a BlueJeans Network meeting, all-day events sometimes show an incorrect meeting time.
  • Poly Trio phones reboot when attempting to failback to primary if the primary is unavailable.
  • Telnet appears to break when an incorrect username or password is entered.
  • If a user joins a Skype for Business conference call and quickly hangs up, the green LEDs may remain illuminated.
  • The Trio system may receive broadcast packets from the default VLAN when configured to use VLAN.
  • The system web interface may not display the correct time if the device time zone is changed.
  • During a conference call, if Trio receives multiple incoming calls that are all declined, it may reboot unexpectedly.
  • The Wi-Fi connection status may incorrectly report as not connected to the cloud server when it is.
