Can you 'external screen share' from one Flip 2 to another Flip 2?

Hi, We've just received a number of Flip 2's. I've been asked if it's possible to screen share from one Flip 2 to another Flip 2 located 8m down the hall (so hdmi connectivity is awkward).

I've tried using the EXPORT -> Screen Share -> Wireless from one Flip 2 but the other Flip 2 doesn't appear as a compatible devices\screen after the search. Should it?

As there is no INPUT -> Screen Share option, I'm thinking it's not possible to share between the screens. I did try the Input -> Mobile | PC but they didn't work.

I guess I could use a third-party hardware screen share device (e,g, ClickShare) but I'd prefer not to add cost or complexity to the solution.

Thanks

JC

Top answer
  • Sharing from one Flip 2 to another is possible.

Wireless connection

  • On the top of the screen, select EXPORT -> SCREEN SHARING -> Wireless and then select the device you want to share the screen with.
  • The SCREEN SHARING feature works best when using FLIP in landscape mode.
  • Devices must support screen mirroring reception to display the contents of the shared screen with SCREEN SHARING.

Wired longer distances

  • If you have the CY-TF65BRC tray, you can use Screen Share to transmit the HDMI signal via HDBase-T as well.

MagicInfo Server

  • Depending on the use of the devices, you can distribute content to all devices with Magic Info.
