Which port uses modbus TCP / IP communication?
It is limited to 502 ports only.
By default, Port 502 is assigned for the Modbus TCP server protocol to be used as local. There is also a possibility for setting the local port according to the needs of the Modbus client, where usually port numbers starting at 2000 are being used.
If in a case where two Modbus communication partners offer the option where they can set the port numbers for the server, there is a possibility for them to communicate using Modbus TCP protocol via a port other than 502.
The command that is being used for port change is changeModbusPort for data exchange with the Modbus TCP master.
You can check the Modbus Slave port on the Modbus TCP configuration window.
changeModbusPort "portnum" - where the portnum is the new Modbus port number to be used, passed in the command as a string of characters.
Also, please check the list of the already used ports, and try not to replicate them.
