New Designer 4.5 Update Enhances Features and Fixes Bugs

New Features:

• Support for IntelliMix Room® Denoiser
• Added control to enable or disable Network Services for:
• HTTP: Access to browser-based application
• Command Strings: Monitor and control by third-party systems
• mDNS: Device discoverability via Shure Web Device Discovery

Enhancements:

• Stability and performance improvements, including:
• Reduced device discovery time for large systems
• Improved responsiveness with a higher number of channels
• Faster page load time

Fixed Bugs:

• Fixed issue where a device disappears and reappears in Designer during firmware updates.
• Resolved issue where changing the Dante name or encryption on the IMX-Room causes the device to go offline.

Open Issues:

• When disassociating online devices from Virtual devices multiple times, Optimize may not create expected logical routes.
• Workaround: Add new virtual devices and Optimize.
• Selecting "forget device" on a cross-subnet MXA910 on firmware version 4.1.41 may result in rediscovery.
• Workaround: Close and re-open Designer or reboot the device.
• Mute Sync will not work between devices running versions 4.2 and 4.3 of firmware.
• Workaround: Update all P300 in the system to Designer 4.3.
• Actions may take longer in networks with more than 20 devices in a room or 60 on the network.
• Importing a Designer preset into the MXA910 web application may fail if not first loaded and saved.
• When soloing a channel on MXA310, all channels appear as "gated on."
• Dante Domain Manager or Dante Device Lock may cause unreliable operations affecting Dante settings.
• Changing channel count of Virtual IMX-Room device does not reset audio settings.
• Workaround: Contact the Support Center for assistance.

Update Instructions:

• Pre-Upgrade Requirements:
• Designer 4.5 requires Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition.
• Currently supported on PC only; multiple versions cannot be installed simultaneously.
• Upgrade Path:
• Upgrade from Designer versions 3.0 and 3.1 to 3.2 first, then to 4.5.
• If failing, complete the uninstaller process before restarting installation.
• Whitelist the Designer installer if endpoint protection blocks it.
