The Stem Wall can present different light colors or patterns, depending on what feature is trying to represent.
There are currently seven different situations of light activity that represent the device's function:
- Slow red pulsing light - means that the Stem Wall is muted
- The rapid red pulsing light (for approximately 2 seconds) - means that the device is receiving a ping
- A sold red light - represents an error with the device
- A single blue oscillating dot - shows that the Stem Wall is booting up
- A solid blue receding light from right to left - means that the device is restarting
- The solid blue shifting - shows that the Stem Wall is testing and adapting to the environment
- Finally, with one or more steady blue dots - Stem Wall shows the direction of the voice-activated beamformers
