End date

The V3 of the S7-1200 CPUs were announced to start their phasing out on October 1, 2014. The versions listed below will effectively be phased out from January 1, 2023:

Important notes

There will be spare parts available from the Siemens spare part service, without the possibility of a new parts order. Also, the upgrade of the SIMATIC S7-1200 V3 CPUs to the V4 CPU firmware or greater will not be possible.

Successor

It is recommended that the users switch to the SIMATIC S7-1200 CPUs with version 4, alongside the configuration software STEP7 Basic Version V13 or greater.
