Siemens has announced a new firmware update for the S7-1200.

The new update with the S7-1200 version of the controller applies to all CPUs in the series and not a few ET-200 displays. The new firmware version V2.8.3 includes the following changes and updates:

• Troubleshooting lost connections It no longer happens that, after switching off / on, the CPU switches to STOP with the message "Recovery data warning: Other data lost
• The following message no longer appears sporadically: "Severe firmware exclusion error (internal system code: 16 # 00000000 16 # 10020000 16 # 00000000) CPU changes to DEFECTIVE STATE
• And a few more similar software updates and debugging.
• All processors from the S7-1200 series have been added.
