Various function enhancements and bug fixes for S7-1200 communication modules
DESCRIPTION
Firmware version 3.4.29 for the following S7-1200 communication modules is available for download:
- CP 1242-7 GPRS V2 (6GK7242-7KX31-0XE0)
- CP 1243-7 LTE EU (6GK7243-7KX30-0XE0)
- CP 1243-7 LTE US (6GK7243-7SX30-0XE0)
- CP 1243-1 (6GK7243-1BX30-0XE0)
- CP 1243-8 IRC (6GK7243-8RX30-0XE0)
The firmware contains general improvements in product quality and is used to upgrade devices of the above mentioned products that are already in use.
In particular, the firmware contains the following changes:
Functional enhancements
- In the clock synchronization options, "No partner" can now also be selected as a clock source.
- Station state events for DNP3 and IEC.
- Selection of data points to be acquired with high priority
- At startup, the CP sends a DNP3 flag for restart (internal indication). It also sends the flag when the S7-CPU enters the RUN operating state.
- Configurable termination of DNP3 communication at CPU stop
- The module sends the restart flag once when the S7 PLC CPU goes into the RUN operating state.
- The module reports the partner status of the UDP-PtP communication.
- At the protocols IEC 60870 and DNP3 the CP may have several partners for time synchronization for the fallback case.
Bugfixes
- Problem solved where DNP3 connection with the master was not established at point-to-point connection
- Fixed an issue where the device continued to send polling messages after the retry counter for messages expired on UDP-PtP connections.
- The partner status is not initialized correctly after downloading the TIA project.
- The CP sends a request to activate spontaneous messages at DNP3-PtP communication with another partner.
- Problem solved where the CP did not establish a PtP connection with a foreign partner.
- CP 1243-7: Sporadic missing data and IP traffic via mobile interface fixed.
- CP1243-7: Sporadic connection failures while roaming fixed.
- Fixed issue where CP 1200 connection was not established by SINAUT ST7 over Ethernet using MSC connection.
- Added additional error message to device specific events for connection states.
- Fixed sporadic error "Pulling of hardware component not allowed" due to SNMP module.
