Firmware Update V2.1.1 for SCALANCE

On August 27, 20, Siemens announced a new firmware update for Scalance. Version 2.1.1 brought new features as well as debugging in the previous version. Some of the novelties are:

• Secure NTP Server
• Scheduled Restart
• Bandwidth limitation in firewall rules
• Delta download from TIA Portal without a reboot of the modules
• Extension of pre-defined IPv4 rules (VRRP, VPN interfaces)
• Multicast / Unicast address filter on Layer 2
• Increase of the IP interfaces to 32
• Increase of the DHCP pool to 8
• Increase of the VRRPv3 instances (VRID) to 16
