SIMATIC Software Controller V20.8

Siemens has released a new version of the S7-1500 device control software. This version makes it easier for developers to program and configure the system. The new features that this update offers are:

• IP forwarding - IP communication beyond the Software Controller (Remote access to Profinet devices)
• Webserver innovation (JSON RPC2.0 supported as data interface, Standardized data access through custom web pages, Web-compliant data format for, e.g. connection with MES or SCADA systems)
• Transmission of recipes and data logs via email ~ Real-time data exchange between CPUs with PROFINET IRT
