New 2-channel interface module for stepper drives

The interface module TM PTO 2x24V is released for the ET 200SP system, used as an interface to drives with a PTI interface. 24 V asymmetric up to a pulse frequency of 200 kHz is supported as a signal interface. Particularly suitable for control with an axis technology object of the SIMATIC S7-1500.

New features

The module now offers 2 identical channels with a PTO interface for output of position and velocity information with 24 V signals up to 200 kHz, and a signal type as:

• PTO pulse/direction
• PTO count up / count down
• PTO A/B phase-shifted

Provides counted output pulses within the module, reported as a current actual position to the CPU, enabling additional digital signals for controlling an axis:

• Enable drive
• Drive ready
• Reference switch
• Measuring input

The module is particularly suitable for connecting to a technology object, supporting the following ones:

• Synchronous axis
• Positioning axis
• Speed-controlled axis
• Probe
